Happy Launch Day Everyone!

Today is August 1st, and that means that the N-Strike Elite line has officially launched! The new blasters (Retaliator, Rampage, and Hail-Fire) can now be purchased in-store in most major retailers. Today I went on a quest to find out where they’re available, and here’s what I found.

Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator selling for $24.99 at Target.

Way more pictures after the jump!

The above pictures are from Target, and while I was so caught up in it all that I forgot to snap a pic of the new Rampage (which they had), a very wide range of N-Strike Elite gear was in stock. The Hail-Fire was sold out, and there weren’t any upgrade kits, vests, or bandoliers though. Still, pretty sweet right? 🙂

The below pictures are from K-mart. Their blasters were still in the back room waiting to be put out, but their price tags were all set up. They’re a bit pricier than Target, but hey, info. is info. 🙂

Both Walmart and Academy Sports & Outdoors were Elite-less, without a single blue dart in sight. Toys R’ Us stocks the New blasters (there isn’t one near me) and Amazon is carrying them too.

So guys, which blaster you goin’ after? 😉

  1. Really the only blaster I actively want is the Retaliator. It’s got the ranges, it can be reduced to a small size for portability, it still has a decent capacity, and it doesn’t seem to have any unnecessary features.

That and a 30-pack of Elite darts, since it’s always good to have spares.

Basically I’d buy Elite for the ranges, and for rapid fire I’d just use my Alpha Trooper, Rayven, or Magstrike (or Raider if I’m desperate enough).

  2. If you (hvzauburn) played hvz using guns other than ones from Vortex, which would you pick? Would it be any of these elite guns? Me personally would want the Retaliator and the Stockade (When/if it ever comes out). Along with the elite bandolier.

    • Hmm, well if I weren’t a Vortex man, I’d go with the Hail-Fire for an HvZ game. With it’s upgraded semi-auto firing system, you can spit darts out at six-per-second, easily helping to take down a rush, it can potentially have a HUGE amount of ammo (which you could use to help refill your team mates as well as yourself) and it’s downright intimidating. The aiming would be more accurate than with a slam fire blaster as well because your moving hand isn’t shaking the barrel tip all over the place. I’d definitely go with the Hail-fire.
